Why Are Some Uber and Lyft Drivers Sleeping in Their Cars?!!

You've heard all the stories - drivers are living in their cars because they can't earn enough to even rent a place in San Francisco! Drivers are making SO MUCH in San Francisco because the rates are good!... what's the real story?

RSG contributor and San Francisco driver Jay Cradeur gives it to us straight: this is the real story of how drivers make it (or don't...) in one of the most expensive housing markets in the world.

In what city do you live/drive? How are your rates? Can you 'make it' while driving full time?

My 4th Hertz car rental in 5 months for Ride Sharing Lyft Uber

This is my latest car rental from Hertz to do ride sharing. Loud humming noise when accelerating. Grinding power steering when turning. Slipping and jolting transmission. I've had this car 2 days since I returned the other vehicle for similar maintenance issues!!! As usual, the cars are FILTHY when I am given them, and have to spend 3-4 hours detailing them. Step it up Hertz.
